I have created this space to share with you my devotion to the Passion of Christ.
I make these garden stepping stones of the Stations of the Cross as a visual aid to praying the Way of the Cross, to transform a garden into a spiritual prayer garden. Consider purchasing a set for your backyard, convent, monastery, retreat center or church.
Making the Stations is not my livelihood, but more of a passion. A set of the 14 Stations of the Cross takes around 40 days to 2 months to make. Each stone is individually hand made and takes approx 8-12 hours during my spare time to make (see the section on “how they’re made”). They need to cure or dry for 28 days from the time the concrete is poured. Then they are treated with a concrete sealer (you can either do this yourself or if you’re not in a rush I can do it here).
The octagonal stones are approximately 11 ½ ” x 11 ½ ” x 1 ½ ”
The circular stone is approx 11” diameter and 1” - 1 ½ ” deep
Each stone weighs approx 8 lbs.
As you can see they can be made into a variety of shapes: octagon, hexagon, square, and circle and colors: tan, terracotta, black, charcoal, and gray.
PRICING:
I am currently asking $100.00 per stone for the Stations of the Cross and Divine Mercy when ordered as a set. A set of the 14 Stations of the Cross would be $1400 and if you wanted to add the Divine Mercy it would be $1500. Arrangements can be made for one stone per month.
I ask $120.00 to $150.00 per stone for individual stones e.g. Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Rose of Lima and St. Michael the Archangel depending on the complexity. I plan to add new designs as time and inspiration allows. I can also make custom orders.

What an absolutely gorgeous and moving website dedicated to our Lord. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
Janet, as our "Canuck" friend mention, this is inspiring work. I am very happy and honored you shared this beautifull art with me.

Just found your site and the words here move me to want to start saying The Way of the Cross. What wonderful promises. Your painted stones are gorgous. I'm showing holy cards on my site and you inspire me to show a series of the Passion cards also...maybe for Lent. Blessings.
We need more Janets who are so fired up with God's things and not with things of this world (secular--new age) Love and passion for Christ is what we need, and following His ways with love, humbleness and pure hearts are also His ways to brings us to eternal rewards. Janet, you already have a special place in God's kingdom. Keep up yhe work. Bless you!

Here is my story relating to the Gethsemane stones.
In this time when Christian faith is being banished from the public square, my wife and I decided we could make our own home and yard a way of proclaiming Christ. We needed to landscape our backyard into a secret and sacred space that serves as a witness to faith to our own family and friends. I had read St. Catherine Emmerich's Life of the Virgin Mary, and I was fascinated that Mary set up stones in the area around her home near Ephesus in present-day Turkey (where she lived in the care of the Apostle John). I thought such stones would be wonderful along the edge of our plantings.
Over a period of months I searched the internet and Catholic supply houses without any success, but then found the Gethsemane stones site. I prayed the Stations, listening to the Stabat Mater, and was so moved and I did not even realize that the stones were available for purchase. After praying the stations, I realized that the stones can be purchased, and so I called to discuss. I discovered that Janet does not mass produce the stones but is guided by prayer to design them and make them by hand and personally. This is a kind of craftsmanship, which has almost been lost in our built-in-China consumer society.
I ordered a set, adding also the Divine Mercy and the Virgin of Guadalupe stones (I like to complete the stations with a recollection of the resurrection and I have a special devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe whom I believe interceded to save the life of my daughter, Bianca). In my garden, the stones are magnificent. I showed them to a landscape architect who is a friend and he was in awe.
Even though I have never met Janet (I live in Philadelphia and she in San Diego), we sometimes correspond via e-mail and pray for each other’s intentions.

HI
My Husband and I purchased the Stones
a couple of years ago. We turned our backyard into a "piece of Heaven" We had our landscaper mount the stones on wooden crosses and placed in our garden. We have spent many quiet times with our Lord walking the stations of the cross. I can not imagine my garden with out the stones.
The stones are beautiful and each one is a work of art. The detail and the beauty of each stone is an inspiration for a deeper call into our spirituality.
We also have the Divine Mercy Stone which is a favorite devotion of mine and to have it in my garden is just a blessing. To be able to go up into your own garden and venerate the image of "Divine Mercy" every day is just a gift!
Having the stations of the cross in your own yard for your own use is a grace and something i just could not live with out. I highly recommend the stones. I am a mother of 4 young adults living at home. I cant tell you how many times i have fled to my garden to pray for my children. It has been my place of refuge. Many many prayers have been answered walking the stations of the cross. Thank you Janet for your gift of bringing Jesus into our homes via the stones. They truly are a blessing and a work of art. I could not live with out them
